test and we hear you much better thank you all right we are here for leadership meeting real quick agenda be kind of things around a little bit we're actually going to talk about the move first because we have Douglas McDonald's from the City of Richardson he's the one that kind of the one who kind of spearheaded getting us all together and talking about the possibilities of the Richardson IQ so and then we'll kind of talk a little bit more about that and then go through just a couple of other things like usual finances and virtual classes oh yeah I can't click on this life yep so thank you everybody especially like new people that have joined up not has been awesome so this is been a lot of support here in the next line just remind everybody if you're in the lab for your mask call seen on people. yep wash your hands don't lick doorknobs what about the space we've got dibs we want to go ahead and let Doug presents or did we want to go over kind of her first couple of it looks good over just at least the two spaces in Duncan talk about a little bit about the Alexa partnership in the Y we were we had done a pretty extensive search around Richardson after talking to the City of Richardson of various areas and the two that really honed in on us was this 1002 North Central Expressway it was a really exceptional location but a good bit over our budget and then the other one that we looked at that was had a high probability look really good once it's 801 Alpha at 1:35 Suite 135 it had a give us about an extra thousand square feet and was even $500 below our plan budget and so that's those were after like you can actually start there's a spreadsheet that goes through all of the other locations that we visited and we just wanted to kind of distill it down to the ones that we thought were the most valuable we're going to be talking ducks in the City of Richardson Sign Making pretty shortly but wondering Way Way Plano we're basing Plano y Richardson well the City of Richardson reached out to us and talk to us about their long-term vision for the for a specific area of it and we saw that there could be really good relationship with not just the City of Richardson but all of the corporate sponsorship all the corporate connections that they have UTD also being one of those there's also a pretty large projects that happened in Richardson the Cottonwood Festival that finds art fest in Santa's Workshop which is something that the they do every year in front of the all the town hall is that said they're the town hall is in like the that's 75 and Arapaho area so we're pretty close there we're also been talking to them about potential grants like what would we would the City of Richardson be willing to kind of help sponsor this move and that was one of the things that were looking at all right so shut up talkin for me I'd like to introduce Doug Doug you there but I'm here can you hear me yeah so I'll let me see if I could do this all right I've stopped for something all right here it goes well I appreciate it it's been a lot of fun being able to meet Tommy and Olivia know a little bit about your organization and what you all do I think this was just kind of perfect perfect timing that we were just finishing up a study that would be done by a consultant to look at the North Texas Innovation ecosystem and then identify some gaps that the City of Richardson could actually capitalize on him bring Tiffany Richardson as part of our Innovation quarter initiative and one of those which was actually the the the lab Makerspace and so we can reaching up the number for reservations to say hey this is what I do sin is if there's things that we can we can do in the future on Partnerships we can do on bringing you here to Richardson or just in general being networking we want a kind of extend the branch out and be a partner as we begin to build the ecosystem in Richardson and so I can just perfect for what you guys are looking at for additional space I'm going to quickly run through some of these five I think it's good it's going to give you an idea the amount of time and effort is a city of Puttin you where were at today you look at where we're at the day you think yeah we did some studies we made some decisions but it has been a year I was hired on with the city back asking me about three years ago I worked for the city of Plano and I moved down here to down to the Richardson and since I've been here in Richton I've worked solely on the IQ and everything like you so I've been working with the college Arapahoe task force he's our group of property owners that really let him effort to develop a game plan for what we want this area to be this area around Arapaho DART station it has about twelve hundred acres is that has 7 1/2 million square feet of office space it it was really the supply chain to what we all know it's Telecom corridor I'm a nice small business is really supported on Piada supported Erickson they supported Collins radio and they were kind of the lifeblood of of of all things Richardson all things that are important story important role in the in the story of Richardson and how rich is the movie Bella and becoming a really high tech entrepreneur old type of study on 2018 mysterious she took on and we did a visiting study we worked on with your soldiers look at the market look at land uses Mobility open space and how to delete a game plan of what we need to be doing to rarely set the stage for reinvestment redevelopment in the IQ 2019 we started doing a lot of the city actually took on a rezoning efforts to rezone the entire 1200 acres to remove barriers for property owners to add on to the buildings to expand to remodel things like allowing murals come out out out and not having to go through planning zoning commission the city council for murals simple things like that but those are all obstacles that were in our outdated zoning ordinance this area was all his own industrial has been that way since the 1980s and so true in modern code now that allows for a lot more flexibility we taking out height restrictions with taking out the most part setbacks and a lot of cases even taking out parking requirements because a lot of these business now don't need the amount of parking at we are requiring as a part of our Old Toad so we got a lot of work we've all been done a lot of work with bringing in new technology and new Mobility around the district to get people different modes of Transit from our light rail station to the business core I'm so just stay right here shows you are Greenville Avenue Road diet that we'd better block Foundation come in and do take out to Bicycle Lanes on a bicycle facilities a great project for us it is now the longest stepper bicycle facility in north Texas and so this really helps us have those connections not every mode of Transit needs you have to happen to your vehicle to go to go places 2022 done a lot of work with an invitation of our vision we're working right now with dart on the Redevelopment of 14 acres around Arapaho DART station I'm a talk a little bit more about this later on but we really see this is the entry points in the front front door to the IQ after Arapaho DART station and there's a there's a big effort alarm are in for my counsel to have a city facility at that location is almost a Innovation Hub we've been doing a lot of work at UT Dallas and I'm trying to bring you to Dallas into the IQ we are part about a month-and-a-half a way to make an announcement on on what UTD is going to bring into the IQ and actually have a physical presence in the district and it's almost kind of an output he would not talk a lot without their Venture Development Center which is actually in the city of Dallas but it's all part of UT UT Dallas campus and there's been even talks of renaming Gatsby IQ North Branch in what we're doing and what they're doing on on YouTube Dallas campus we're doing Innovation assets and in ecosystems a lot of studies of seeing what's out there today what are people doing what's the deck doing what's Addison Treehouse doing what's Frisco and Plano doing and then we're can we really be still some of those gaps aren't being filled today unless you're doing a lot of Capital Improvements and needs assessments we have a bond election coming up next year we're going to be putting a lot of improvements into it for a beautification of Rhodes portals entry feature really start building brand identities biqle part of the the bond program for 2021 this is a map showing where the IQ is located longest 95 Corridor on Cell over to your I guess looking at your right side does the Plano up to downtown Plano on the dart line I'm downstairs to the last time it's going towards Dallas you'll see 1200 acres and businesses over 19,000 Floyd members overnight to 19001 Floyd that come to work each day the to nearby gas stations and really being perfect for startups and perfect space for people to scale up as well one of the interestings about the IQ and I finally talked about that Tommy and Olivia is that we have play for 5 property owners that own the majority of the properties of the IQ so when you're able when you're needing to stand and in grow were even a shrink you can actually move from building to building and stay within the same year same lease because there's so many of the properties owned by a handful of property so literally ratio property owners in a test. We've been helping them navigate navigate through who to meet with and who to set up at least four words with but that's a really perk that we have any idea that you don't a high-tech businesses this is still a a primary for High-Tech business going Telecom Corridor I'm you'll see you on the Legacy area in Plano Dallas North Tollway at 635 also being hot spots for High-Tech is the other because of our Telecom coil roots that still at present still is everyday and really heart of that presence is actually in the IQ I'm being highly connected is a big park for us is that we are on the dart line we are connected with the with the bus facilities on an Indian just being along the 25 Corridor is a big part for the IQ Orange Acacia Partnerships are probably one of the biggest strengths we have with our partnership with UT Dallas Richland College actually Dallas College West Campus they change their name is is a big player in this as well we also have Berkner High School which is just right down the street from the iTunes boundaries and their STEM Academy we're now beginning to build a relationship with recognize the name of the superintendent to start looking at what burtner and summer programs at that school has that we can bring into the IQ as well so that they had a partner is a great asset for what we're doing we did it is an effort back in 20 2018 on that say we are going to be Premier Tech Hub in Texas remember about a place for a range of businesses across Industries at different points of the gross can Thrive and also support existing businesses while attracting new ones we want us to see the center of innovation and Entrepreneurship in in north Texas real estate that is that is really what we have is part of our DNA in Richardson is that we are a place that really cultivate Sandra Lee recruit small business has a lot of the big guys were around there we can't compete with the frisco that are bringing in the Cowboys stadium in in facilities like that but we know what we're good at and we'll regret it is working with small businesses and arm are if you've been any meetings with our mayor people tell you that he doesn't want the next Amazon he wants a thousand wants to put in a thousand small businesses that could one of them could one day be the next game and so I was Jokes R Chambers jokes Iko Marathon start talking like that too much were still trying to curse somebody big businesses but our mayor and Council are really focused on small businesses and growing small businesses me IQ are we going to be uniquely green-lighting active we have a member of Trail in open space project that are under way right now to bring the amenities at the IQ thing walkable bikeable I showed you the Greenville Avenue Apartments on the illustration Light Rail station as well so that also has a bicycle facility play Havana station area serving as at Gateway in the district the less picture is is our State Farm Cityline station right pictures actually a rendering of Greenville Avenue looking South down at the Light Rail station American Vision on the left side as The Innovation Hub facility the city would be a partner in on that could have a Makerspace could have lab spacers been a lot of discussion about having UT Dallas to UT Southwestern are bringing in some additional dry and wet lab space that is missing in the north Texas region and also having space for potentially some of the cities are still moving over here with our Convention Center facilities hotels and really wasn't letting this be kind of bike Hub of of the IQ this is a framework of the twelve hundred Acres bowling areas we want to concentrate on for restaurants and amenities bison we want to concentrate on for living in residential and inner lip the purple are a witch's love the area that you all been looking at I'm hiding places for working for specialized space for emerging Industries is having spaces available for different growing Industries and businesses I'm all part of that ecosystem that we're looking to grow I won't talk about this but this is really our district vision and where we're going and each one of our big Vision items we've made progress on these last two years and really has been a great success for both of us the university I'm an RR chamber turn on Waze activity we're doing a number of studies and resources to help us with the pairing for what is it, the net in the next few years with blonde preparation with some of our work we're working to start right now on social studies of the bus transit center at the door at the DART station on our elevation at the ecosystem study would enjoy leading us to a full-fledged feasibility study on Innovation Center at Arapaho DART station and it's Amore IQ play spreading strategy looking at how we can deploy the IQ brand and name through portal sign of public art you got to get on the Design District you see a lot of the entry portals and gateways you got of the Deep Ellum I'll have a unique feel unique I sent an arrival on that were looking to hopefully build on in the in the IQ Denmark marketing Outreach this is our mayor speaking at the start of World Cup that he was invited to be the keynote to talk about the IQ and what we're doing here in Richardson on to a number of startups doubt Capital Factory having a lot of the district branding we have social media up and running now today some of the physical Prudence with the Arapaho DART station and trails the bike facilities and need some new technology these are the first passive detection thermal cameras that have been employed in north Texas what they are is when you get anywhere near the crosswalk they go on alert people that people are crossing to be light rail station to parking so it's a very unique technology that we've been able to test here in the IQ spring bringing Partnerships is really are big motive these next few days. She must we begin a lot for these big initiatives working with dark or commute peace out UT Dallas UT Southwestern Richardson Richardson I see another partnership that we think are very valuable for us in terms of our programming and in terms of the ecosystem that we are bringing in the network to do some some training as some educational pieces Dallas and bass Alliance by of North Texas has also been a part of this and some of our initial studies 1 Million Cups are we are getting ready to start launching program there's one in Frisco this one Madison running Dallas but a place for us to really promote small businesses and promote entrepreneurs to provide their there in foot and get erection can you to give them hell and assistant that I need to direct their efforts and I really see here with the lab and City of Richardson is almost a mutual benefit is it flashing an owl scream yes how many that is annoying department does it okay let me try me try some chocolate give me one second okay I am back from my tour I hope somebody was helping me take notes is still going through and presenting on the Richardson IQ Alamo stand over and we both get the recording of it so so that I can it looks like it's laser chopped they chop now they're chop now there's no blinking but they're chopped don't mention that the mutual benefit which are realizing there's a lot of things as we're grilling what we're doing here at this lab can help Sandy Richardson and vice-versa we think in the city Russian religion help promote the lab on our website and social media Master Graphics little bit of kind of integrating what you guys are doing at the lab until what we're doing with the Richardson IQ providing Lydia and Tommy and your team access to the city's IQ calendar when you all have a vent and you can put them on RIT Calendar at their Publix anyone and it sparked it really shows the integration of what you guys are doing and what we're doing and it it almost is not it's very seamless integration between the entities I'm co-sponsoring it been since we do on a regular basis with other nonprofits that would love to be able to work with you on on your connecting you all to our local media Outlets have a number of local media Alison Richardson that are just switching based that we think the help I get the word out initially if you decide to relocate in the Richardson I'm on the outside from the lab helping the city Richardson we really think as we begin to start programming in our events that the lab is going to play a huge role in that part of having you all come and speak or having virtual things that were still in virtual seating time to speak it out a different event if it's a different training different technology I'm different things you have at your facility I'm hosting events at your facility that we can partner read with with the IQ and and basically you all posted we bring the group to you helping us build our our Grassroots efforts in our ecosystem S&M that we know that we need to work on and we're working on it right now it's a fine those folks are passionate about what we're doing and to really help them KY drive drive to provide the resources for our Volunteers in our our Grassroots folks to really push this forward with different events in programming VIP I think that's something we I've been really been enjoying working with Tommy and Olivia are brainstorming what what the two groups can do together and really help expand the IQ so what time is it at the ground level with this is really great at a great opportunity for us to work together on different at different assets this is actually we are building out our new website to GO to nike.com right now it's kind of a landing page we have you tried that before covid-19 on it as we begin to work on our website but our website where the lab benefit in we have a page of in-depth here with there's information about startups and small business resources to our data center that's an that's an IQ of a co-working spaces that are in the IQ commercial real estate and you'll see here we will put the ice the lab logo here and say hi if you find your spot if your spot is going to the Makerspace here is the link to the Makerspace in the IQ I mention having access to your IQ calendar this is the front page of our website as you start having meetings until 4 if they show up on the front page of our website you can click on it and take you right to the the calendar and you can see you have your monthly membership meeting tonight and it shows up on our calendar you clicked on it shows more information I just copy this information from from y'all's meet up but give me an idea of how seamless being gracious going to be between the lab and Innovation quarter as we get the website up in about 2 weeks and so you'll have an idea to go through and see all the different components to it as I mentioned this is really a unique opportunity for both parties to really engage with one another and how we can both grow what we want to do in the future so that I really appreciate the End of Time Olivia and Tommy from the City of Richardson to be held here to speak with you all and camping equipment interview questions yeah thank you very much. It seems like Chris is very interested in conversing with you somewhere we can make that connection is there anyone else that has some questions for Doug hey Doug I just had one quick question you mentioned the bond Initiative for next year if the boat has been been supportive of City development bonds or is there any risk behind I mean I guess I was always a risk that comes to a boat right pretty supportive of bond propositions yeah there's a lot of things going on with the council House official they are like it every other year Anthony voted out all at once which is more dangerous but now there's a lot of support Community a lot of support Council on this Bond propositions a lot of work that goes in the Beast most likely the Innovation Hub facility won't be part of this Bond program Elite I probably part of next Bond program Fitness and I'll give you kind of a peek behind the curtains Tommy and I'll let you know about this the city one of our our projects with University of Texas at Dallas the city actually own the building the district off of Plano Road in Collins if you need anybody ever been around in Bridgeton early 2000s late 1990s it was called StarTek it was actually incubator the city ran it's been vacant now for about eight years into the city is actually going to be testing a lot of Concepts a lot of programming and really testing the feasibility of do we want to invest in a purpose purpose Built to Spill in the dark station I'm so these next two years we're back going to be really kind of reactivating StarTek in a partnership with the University of Texas at Dallas and and really kind of testing a lot of things to see what works and what doesn't work and I'm really kind of doing a proof-of-concept for what could become a dirty large facility in the dark station on when that when that comes into play thank you depression anywhere anyone else to know this is the time to ask anything all right I do have a question give me the universities that are very interested in who the end of this quarter are we going to end up in competition with the university Makerspace cuz I know a lot of universities have been starting to expand their wings in the maker space Arena yeah so what I know of what you see Dallas coming in is that they're Makerspace I think they're Makerspace lie about a thousand square feet it says it's a pretty small Makerspace but from what I know University of Texas Dallas is not going to know what they're bringing in the other day about I'm sorry if I understand correctly you have to be enrolled and UTD as well and that's that's something UTD is they know is an issue is that they're limited on you have to be affiliated with University to use our facilities or have you heard from her in there going to be eating that up a little bit with businesses that are in the IQ so if you're part of the eye to you you'll have an incentive for the programming you'll have access to what if you are affiliated with University part of that negotiation finalized every detail with University of Texas at Dallas the other universes we've been talking to you or don't have any Makerspace components Richland College from what I know of doesn't but they haven't really been a big they've been looking at is her classroom space we can bring some classes over and not with Willie a heavy duty lifting what university text about were talking to is a group that's not here in in in Texas and it'll be it would be a very small University are you very much just now was curious if I know some of the colleges have been arranging they all you have to be a member of the College of some level that some of them now or having some very low-level introduction courses so they can get people into their makerspaces I just didn't want to be in collusion with a thank you now brings up a question for me is that I see lots of libraries having their own Makerspace again very small like here's one 3D printer do you have any insight into like maybe something we can do with libraries as part of the City of Richardson some sort of sharing of knowledge what-have-you yeah so I library is are my brightness on the city hall campus write down Arapahoe Inn in 75 are libraries 50 years old that that on what it would take to rebuild that at that may be part of this upcoming Bond program but there's been a lot of scratches on his it rebuilt there or is it move somewhere else I think I don't know where it's at some point but I do think there's there is a opportunity for us to work with library folks to figure out what they're doing and what you are doing so there's not a competition we we talked to Discovery Center out of Frisco and that's their biggest issue right now is that they just the first coat is put in a ton of money in the library and they're doing everything that's the fight in Discovery Center does now it's now they're they're saying the date they need to leave Briscoe because this is Library taking care of everything remember this I take you to mini Maker Faire there many years that we attended we've been discussion with that group 2 and a pop-up kind of remote location for him and they come every once in awhile and instead up and do some things awesome does anybody else have any and Athens alright I appreciate you the one more 24-hour space in some cities have in the commercial zones have some issues with parking overnight and things like that are there any issues like that in Richardson that we might need to be aware of it because some of us really don't wake up until about midnight and start working I don't believe so I will double check on that I don't believe so we haven't drawn a co-working space in the IQ called the drawing board and I saw they actually just announce they're doing a midnight hours version so you can get a membership if you only work at night are you only working the weekends or are there other facility which is in the i-team so I'll double check. David make sure but I don't think there be an issue thank you I just want to make sure yeah I'm familiar with the drawing board I've been there a few times just don't want to have a collision get there in Disguise Brothers there's some kind of a shoe at 3 a.m. or something at the point does thank you very much we appreciate your time. I'm walking through the Richardson Heights you before was the vision for it and then the like your vision is Chris any more messages yeah has used the maker station number times for building some of the things his nonprofit and so there's again and there's a lot of clots cross collaboration Sean with his regiment ideas for the Makerspace was this I did I think it's on his shirt the conceptual intercourse is like ideas kind of meeting and then learning and kind of growing off into their own thing be stronger than they were individually and that's you like we're going to work on me Chris has a good example of that drives our fun group so help you let me know I told Tommy I love you too even if if this doesn't work out and and y'all need to stay in find out I love to keep screen rotation open up because I do think you still get the closest Makerspace to what we're doing Starbucks Jani keep John Gage as well too so I really appreciate it and even you need to ask Tommy Olivia Tommy I was going to ask me this PowerPoint do you have it before you go you also sent us an email about the grant you want to share that with the rest of yeah it's all right for sure here email yeah we we've been working with Tom and Lydia to try to try to feel some gaps that you may all be encountering a new in your rent North Central Expressway one offered at 12,000 to help out with with a fortune to rent there still a gap there so I don't know if that's going to work out but I'm getting assaulted you all looking at me about nursing management team and are able to offer a $6,000 relocation grant for you all to to help out this month that you may be hanged up a rent for the month you all moving over I'm just a help with that move and so yeah hopefully I know it's I know it's not a lot I know times are crazy right now and he has is looking at what they can and can't provide out for a from Sinners but this is something that has been kind of gross the top of their City bald or Debbie city manager came out in for Delphos ability and so we all feel the great a Great Piece to the Richardson story and and so every little bit helps but hopefully that is something that you all can take with you in and you see all decisions to help out with some the month of transition thank you thank you very much stuck talking to us have a great night you to buy all right now 2% again if you don't go anywhere so slides I realized I probably should have done it the other way around is have dug present but now you understand the the kind of vision behind why we've been talking to City of Richardson because even if we found something of similar price and Value in Plano it wouldn't compare to the other Partnerships that we have the potential with the City of Richardson including the grass putting all of the the business connections and we've been talkin also but potential business corporate sponsorship they'd be able to help us connect to the people that could help get those corporate sponsorships go back to his house with the two spaces that one in North Central Expressway they actually said Richardson offered a $12,000 grant for us to move there unfortunately that would only that we'd still have about a $700 Gap per month and that was too much for us to take then the other one was that 801 Alpha which was under budget but we still be getting a $6,000 lump sum payment and that was going to give us like another $250 per month so that puts us like no even $700 under budget for a thousand square feet so this now can I hope you understand why we were looking at this we're looking at a three-year lease it would increase 2% year-over-year the building is a little bit older and not as visible but there is no good internet there we also said that they would be willing to give 2 months free rent they've got a nice bay door here and Olivia and I have been brainstorming on some ideas of how to illuminate the area to make it look more principled so thank you is It ultimately it's again it's kind of like we're not it's not so much like the buildings it's more just kind of like the support from Lake City plans that actively want the lab there in like long-term kind of meeting the labs its its goals its vision for kind of spreading artscience and kind of the the Collision of all of those that you have a city that's actively interested in yes please bring that here we want that that is exactly what we want we want you to be right here that that's kind of almost done quantifiably valuable but we do seem to have the good fortune that there were a number of spaces that we could settle in and this these were the top two that seems to fit the needs that we had come up with and again I think pinned in general is the size of all of the locations so you can kind of see what what we look through and Doug didn't mention that the relocation Grant is the $6,000 one is available for the other locations the $12,000 one is only tied to the end that the North Central Expressway at 1 but yeah so that that the kind of chunk of money would definitely help out with moving costs and all that so I'll let Tommy go ahead and continue on serve the Strategic Vision Beyond just disability there's the Outreach there's the grants there's the potential connection with corporate sponsors and yeah I think that's about all I got to say about that any questions or for now the Dogs Out don't want to make a comment that this sounds awesome as far as the City of Richardson wanting to it to work with the lab and what I'm hearing tonight from from Richardson is what I had always hoped to hear from the city of Plano when we were there when you never did tell disappointment and frustration with the city of Plano and then now the City of Richardson come in with us open arms and here's some money as well so yeah. It's amazing what's the other shoe can I say something city of Plano did speak with them today and they do actually seem from the person I talked to was interested in us she had to speak with a manager to see what they can actually do for us and she said she'd give me a call back about that I'm about to send you a final is also willing to assist us in some way I just don't know I haven't heard back about what they're willing to do yet and I when I do why can we can talk with the rest of the board about it but also willing to assist us okay let us know those details cuz that's the thing again we've had some like yeah that's nice and this is I felt the first time we've had true come in there talking to us for sending out details here's money that we are able to accept and then here's all the years the vision that's where the City of Richardson is really appealed to me but yeah I'm definitely interested in what the city of Plano would have to offer it got to wonder though their engagement on that though cuz the city of Plano is not been very engaged the past few years with the lab and if they know that we're in talks with Richardson I I could see this as like the cable company giving you a discount to stay a customer right it is their way of trying to hang on to us without making any over offer the way Richardson has just made to us exactly I would like to point out that you know when we move we won't have the Mexican next restaurant next door making all the noise call Misty Elvis guy imma be honest I don't think I will miss from the shopping center is coffee Delray and it's still on the way for me I would like to point out on the twitch stream somebody did ask are any of the Promises by the city in writing I assume Return of the promises from the City of Richardson I'm assuming so but yeah we have an email so just spending on your writing it was a confirmation it was a confirmation from Doug which she also made on this recorded stream about that for $6,000 $6,000 of a grant for 801 alpha or actually took let me take that back $12,000 for 1000 to North Central Expressway and then $6,000 for any of the other areas that we were looking at which included does 801 Alpha take a locations of one seems like it's just way over budget so it's really it sounds like it's really just attacked whether or not it's going to be Alpha 801 we're living in post covid time right now so as moving in and bring in new members might be difficult to fill in that Gap but it seems kind of a risky move so about either one as somebody who teaches classic it seems like the space for the education is very small vacation have run into capacity issue where we just don't have enough room to fit all people who attend class I don't know if that's going to be a good mood for for that part of the membership or the or the ones that like to going on two different events space are there any any options that would accommodate maybe both cuz I know there's a good a good chunk of space for the warehouse area but not the classroom so let me address your first question which was the price yes this were two of the top ones and the reason why this one which was extremely bigger Gap was because this is the one that the City of Richardson was very interested in us being a part of so when they were talking about that whole Vision Blake hey the DART station and right there at Arapahoe station was going to be like the Hub of it all that's what they wanted us to be and willing to give us again that extra $6,000 of a grant to put us in there for now so that's where that that discrepancy of the cost comes from the the owners of that building as well they are cuz that that if you look on Google Maps are kind of like a they're very different kind of like a little donut they want to cultivate specifically like technology oriented businesses that will work well with the Hub there like they actively wanted us to be in that building and we're wanting to offer as much support as they could financially it was I think it's a little bit harder for them to do just because of you know building monies taxes all that kind of thing but like they made it very apparent that they wanted us to be in there with her like yes we would love for you to be here this is a perfect location for you and we are like but we're poor but yeah that's why that was kind of at the top was can we do that because the benefits for it would be really phenomenal pause back to Tommy and then the other one the location so they conferred there are three different rooms here that we saw before but the classrooms what is our current size of that mean classroom I was trying to look on pan but I couldn't find it give me like 5 minutes and I'll go find a tape measure and measure it I think it's somewhere like 18 x 20 18 x 20 question why are we eliminating heater one valve number 105 that one actually quite nice and seem to have a lot more space for the money the other one on Elsa need the where like I forgot the suite number on it but it's the big area in it is like a showroom area largely filled with like countertop displays like built-in ones and the warehouse type area was it it's the small it's a small carpeted area in the back so it wasn't really ideal and would require like a lot of build-out I think to make it work like on that first day that we went out and had no electricity that one well I can say like when I first walked into that I just immediate was like no this is not the right size and the warehouse area was just tiny is it didn't have like a shower to shower that was other one that the 105 anyone else I'd like that the warehouse area was like carpeted the other one then I'm just love looking at the space at 3300 square feet vs 26 for the other one and I are in a significant amount of space so I was just curious not good question. As Olivia said the warehouse was carpeted the first or was just one big area and those things I took a bunch of white countertop stuff in there as well cuz that was left there it was nice to have like a bar area set up so we thought about having the maker space bar there's an idea Baxter sink in there which wasn't a bad thing and throwing up walls is pretty trivial but I was just a question it just seemed like it was in our budget and was it was out so I just want to know what the thought process was if you click through my walkthrough video it might help out I did. I actually liked it based on your Walker video nothing is pretty easy to convert classroom and take a wall down and make a bigger warehouse space shuttle but they all shut up now actually this is good because this is like this would still be applicable for the all the benefits of the City of Richardson plus the grant we can take another we can talk about it some more it would hurt this space more visible one complainant noticed that you had on the other space but it was noticeably in a bad location in the in the building a hard to get you in bed parking is 105 and dinner the the same or I don't I don't have a visual on the building so we were that Fred. Is on the map that's about where the other one is it kind of like goes through the entire building so you see that the front of the store and then there's the furniture store in the warehouse area that warehouse areas really like backs up into DC my mouse this so yes it is more visible okay tell her I said just curiosity I'm not trying to be a pain in the tail here just just try understanding it's that that's one of the reasons we wanted to have this and we've actually got at the end of the meeting kind of a relocation query where we you know if you got any comments like that you know like I think this location seems to be better because of a b and c we need to know that I was looking at the wrong square footage 2602 3300 that's a chunk of space and and seems to be might be worth putting up quick walls I'm always happy to build walls text Road just you know just a little bit short of an 800 square feet or something 900 square feet like $150 a month that's a good point what's up it looks like you're be a lot more than I'm down. you can actually finish your Brewery there right here right yeah and with the running sink the talk about a dark room might actually can happen right the tiny little room actually kind of off on the looking at your screen on the left hand side that's right next to the warehouse area and there's stuff that closet next to it that actually had in the wall like a place where you can put in more Plumbing I think it was like some kind of wet area nice so you got you got what's coming up front then you got another room of West Plumbing in and possibly more that you can hook into that's pretty nice I personally think this one might be worth looking at I know I I will guarantee you I'll come help build walls which is better to me that and then walls that already exists we keep out early okay I'm coming protect you like that documents before you need quite a little bit of space of those if you want to stop printing because the chemical containers have to be paper size you need at least three plus drawing space in the face needs to be pitch-black dark you have somebody you weigh if you want to do black and white but if if somebody is desperate enough to try color with an enlarged or not a printer it gets pretty involved so don't underestimate the size of a dark room you need a small room if you want to load film and running water and a place for the chemicals which tend to be some of which is aggressive so you need to build this out that it doesn't look like somebody sprayed some nasty stuff onto the walls because chemistry tends to stick I'm just trying to say if you want to do printing if you want to go all the way from film development through to printing you'd be surprised how much space you actually need I say shut up now listing to DD donut Reno does that have to be collected and disposed of in a particular way most of that stuff from the concentration can be ditched the only thing that might get academically interesting is if you do black and white then you're fixer contain silver which can be reclaimed silver prices are low but it's a fun thing to do most of the stuff in the in decent decent known concentration is Australian homeless it's not engine oil I also have to point out something just having worked at CVS and having had access to those photos thinks you are you have to have a very very expensive filter on those in order for it to be legal well I think we're getting a little bit how old has asked so yeah dollars for us to do with as we please that could cover moving that could cover remodeling that can be whatever but yes essentially that's $250 per month for two years so that's essentially like an annual membership every month for two years that the City of Richardson is providing that's again that's huge and again that the money is ours yeah true a big deal and if you're willing to introduce two businesses it's another big deal for donations so big there's a lot more in interest with them and it seems like Plano has ever given us maybe Brandon can come through the 11th Hour of the city of Plano world but again we've been trying for years and haven't gotten progress and now that we're on this path I think Richard is coming about the the cable company's feels pretty spot-on what about the city the city Sue Richardson came to us they were actively interested in us and reaching out to us about that was a huge thing and even even whenever we try to make it that that reach and spin struggle bars that stuff on me that's worth a lot to pay reached out to us not conversely that would seem to indicate they're going to want to keep reaching out and keep us going other areas with Plano that I've dealt with have not impressed me so I'm not you no surprise that we get no love can just pay the extra contacts the hell yeah we tried working with the mayor's office we tried working with city council with very limited interest amen and then radio silence so good luck Brandon my experience unless you got millions that you're going to be investing in Plano but they're not really interested so for the non-natives the guys who haven't been here this long what happened to the Richardson star looks like this is their second time around for doing this he was mentioning something there star thing Start program starts in which was I guess there other Innovation Hub did it just collapse on itself or what happened on collapse 10 years ago there was a huge Telecom presence in that area and they went bankrupt Telecom just like caved in on a shelf and hurt a lot and a lot of businesses in fact that was the beginning of 1 TI the beginning of the end for TI in the in the cell phone business so you're doing back to the world, days yeah that was that was what caused a hole collapse okay when it was the it was Winnie Nortel went bankrupt about 10 years ago is going to be the death knell of all of that survey that whole thing started about 17 years ago and then by 10 years ago really imploded completely I live in now because of his one-year-old there was a telecom person had gotten a job got a house and then their company with and I ended up getting house for steel building starting go ahead we had a question come through on slack parking access will affect membership how's the ADA compliance that's a no I don't have the answer and I just put a I made it to do item for myself to look into that because we'll talk to the real estate agent about that the point parking and that does one thing that is a good about that other one about that 105 Alpha is that the parking is better because the parking is again on this this side as opposed to hear and people would have to walk around so gosh to that other one if I know one of the big things for 105 if it's possible to cuz I remember one of the things about the quote Warehouse area I mean we're calling it that but it's basically just you know a roll of Windows facing the back wall and there wasn't a like a bay door which I know was valuable for moving kind of larger equipment in and out if that's something that's not too horrible to like convert like just get double doors in or something like that but good point Olivia speaking of daughters I only see one exterior door and that's the reason that the space in Plano has such limited capacity there is a front in the back door in the back so we do already have an existing Dumbledore and we have to go home and get that go all the way back to the warehouse. Square of its dead center between the phone ReStore in the warehouse area if those are partition walls and not structural which I highly doubt we took those down except for the bathroom you can put in double doors back there and then you'd have double doors from the front through into the warehouse space and every pretty trivial to do that Sean I know I'd love to have a I love to have a loading dock I don't see it as killer that we don't have it as compared and you don't have a recording of this I am committed to helping build walls I mean if that's the difference I will build wall play me where you want them down go up damn quick let me understand this you're saying that you're going to build walls are going to have the City of Richardson pay for it best Aralia cigarettes are going to be perfect alright so yeah it sounds like we might need to do some more investigation into this 105 Alpha we we will reach out into McNeese commercial funny name. We'll think about it and told me that we might want to have another look at it maybe get more members to come by and we can check out both of them and they're right next to each other so okay so I will take that as a item for myself to do Adderall is there anyway we could schedule an open time with the City of Richardson for like an hour block for anyone to just go by and look Newport short we have to go with the commercial like the company that owns it or I can broker technically and so yeah we can maybe do an hour and just have a a little slot for people to come in and visit for an hour and do either of those two locations actually Justina said that her computer was about to die where does Tina Justin Jones from here do you have anything other than kind of normal money money money whole lot better on retained earnings with this month I retained earnings for over a thousand yes 1047 compared to last one which was 368 that is much better thank you to the new members and benevity yes yes but it is like the the Microsoft donates $25 for every hour at work with the Makerspace so this is why I keep telling him we need to get him inside and just delete the door human Army human no but if you want to work for Microsoft that's actually the big the real thing I would push so with with one of things, he's been working on it a lot of stuff with on the CTO side so if we have time we'd love to inform membership I'm overlooking at to know what time he's awesome work has been producing is there anything else on finances justina's to just kind of the updated sheet yes I'm working on that dude she to make it a little more readable cuz there's a lot going on with this current one well when you get it done can you post it so I can put on the notes actual still working on it like I want to there's just a lot going on with it okay, I wanted to interrupt before her computer died I didn't mean to derail from building talk thank you very much thank you I didn't want I didn't do the I guess Justin scribers Page I love you and you said that you were working on trying to figure out who are our actual current members yes I'm that's one of the things I'm going through for that I think Tommy and fill that too is I'm going Thru by hand and fork who's actually paying for what and when's the last time everybody paid and what not to make that easier for everybody to just see but it said Tommy and and Phil I'm just kind of doing doing their grunt work okay but yeah so those will eventually be updated awesome cool beans all right I think we should talk about Lego yes yes let's talk about Lego and what kind of an awesome job he did yesterday yeah it was fun what happened yesterday so yesterday Lego did his intro to Arduino class from the ground up and it was our first official class that was done be a twitch stream and we had a pretty decent participation through the twitch stream and afterwards we went ahead and cross post it over to our our brand new YouTube and our Facebook page so Legos now internet famous is if he wasn't behind that's awesome I kind of forgot that it was happening so I'm going to have to go watch that I was famous before but that was for my nudes so this is so where can we get those I thought I was free at talking do we have the twitch stream posted somewhere yes I've been posting all over the place Twitch. TV/the lab MS skip so this is part of a kind of our idea of having a great work and I can't do physical classes for a while so let's start doing virtual ones still get the name recognition out there to let people learn from a still contribute back to the community be virtually and hopefully you want still Creighton membership and awareness for the lab through these types of virtually so if you're interested in teaching one please let us know we really like to help build up our catalog and again get our name out there get people making sojourn talk a little bit about will the the upcoming stuff for the absolutely so that we've done is we have brought the website onto a VM out of the Azure app Services I didn't sound like anything big but that VM also contains the KB which is now the KB. Loud that I'm a Mess by which is also pulled out and out of service so it's on the same host which is running out of Confluence page but the big exciting thing here is that Tommy mostly county has been working on setting up whmcs which while it is a web hosting platform it will allow members to control their own subscription not through PayPal and aside from that we will also be able to take credit cards so we don't have to worry about trying to go through PayPal and all that Aditi and we won't be hope beholden to somebody having a PayPal PayPal account boo it's it's all Tommy I just installed it but aside from that we're going to some of the magic the Tommy's working on is some automated badge provisioning automated waiver Gathering From members so we're working on automating that user provisioning process and making it take I signed up when can I get a fob maybe in the next week I can coordinate with someone down to hey I got a file when I was at an open house I signed up and I'm walking little right now yay so where is that link to show like the water man process the the what like to go to the members at the lab to check out process just going to store I want to become a member I want to become a monthly member I can you actually have a cart you can check out Tommy is doing how many + or and Wallah generates and password for me and I'm going to do like a PayPal sandbox account complete the order did you do just goes into this fake PayPal account initials on a fake PayPal account are doing really well you said yep great subscribe so like I said we will have the ability to continue to take Paypal but we haven't set up any credit card processors yet but in the end when we're ready to launch this that check box that said bank transfer in PayPal sandbox that will say PayPal and Visa Mastercard Discover we are not going to take Diners Club though so I'm sorry to everyone by invoices and then so now you are logged in and you can actually see all the things that you have prescribed and one of the things you can do is if you go to edit My Account Details you can start putting in your badge number and Bissell talk to the the bad system awesome so how are you going to do with lifetime members so that right back to eat this system actually has a really robust promotional system built-in which is also Howard and trans we're going to go with membership points for Lifetime members what we'll do is we're going to give you a direct link to check out on a hidden cart item and then provide you with $1,000 promotion so you check out on it with $0 and you are in the system a perfect thank you oh and well do you happen to have that have which was which specifically the code for a lifetime member well anyway you get the idea was like yeah it's going to be a check out for $0 and that'll put you into the system I was just thinking since the system is going to help control things as a lab member even if you're not paying into it you need to be a have an account in the system so yep and I'm also trying to figure out how we're going to handle the pike memberships so we're not trying to remember or keep track of a whole bunch of different products that we need to cycle out overtime but were I'm still thinking on that one but I am the elected members is actually super easy to figure out and this is essentially the four that were building up as a new member comes in they go to our website of the members website the sun in approve do the payment and then will also send them or try to find a way to connect to an existing smartwaiver and if they look if it's the waivers on file then we'll go ahead and try to go through that and then once they're logged in they can fill in their badge ID and that'll go to the bad stuff and then breathe if they lose their badge to just go in and put in a new batch number and if they cancel they go into the system cancel it and badges deactivated that's that's beautiful so that's some of the stuff that we've been working on yeah there's a lot of activated badges that I've run into from the people that have it taking those off so this is this is wonderful to go back to the recliner that badge number this will get this will let Ryan do what he's been wanting to do is just so you know in bed that RFID tag into his body and then all you need to do is just go and build the RF and I'll find out what the RFID tag is and then and put it here himself yeah just make sure the one that you get in planted is the right frequency range if it don't get the wrong one what do you mean I was just going to like cut a hole in my hand and stick the one I've got in there that's a bad idea condorcet financially which is better leaving in a PayPal or moving to the new system for the for in terms of cost cost to the lab will be the same we're going to be charged the same feeds either way so there's a net-zero in that regard but it will be better for members because then they can handle their own badges as well as if they do family memberships and stuff like that and we're hoping maybe add some additional things down the line so we would ask that if one moves but cost to the lab will be will be zero that's like all the payment processors they very very very b a r y very slightly from how much they actually charge for stuff so just want to make sure I mean I'm on the annual payment with PayPal I don't mind moving I just you know if it was a benefit from moving immediately I could or I'll just wait I guess until November when it's time for another renewal yeah that's pretty much what we're in the Target is a slow roll have members move over when they're when their membership is going to renew it will take a little bit of work on the members side just to make sure they canceled out of PayPal as it exists today and then recheck out on this side but that's that's about the most amount of work that's going to be required of it Filipino and Tommy have been doing an amazing job so sorry I kind of modeled after dialysis maker Wiki weaves using compliments and we've got I'm hoping that we can start putting some of the faces easier to find the link to each of these and then actually having a standard operating procedure for each of our more intricate tools and then laser cutting troubleshooting maintenance how to do that I've copied over some of the stuff but Bishop we want to start using this as our inventory system as well which that's part of kind of circles us back around 2 to move stuff is that making sure that we've got kind of you know where where where ever the move is going to be handled that figuring out the logistics of that or going to be super important just because they lab has a lot of expensive equipment yeah we need to make sure that more pray you mean it's obviously we don't really have to account for a few no pencils but you know tools equipment furniture that. Kind of think I need to be accounted for so mean that something that mean we definitely need to start doing so if anybody would like to volunteer to help out what is the landfill or I know cuz we could really use some Inventory management just a true-up of all the equipment we have and anything that we talked about and we can give you access to this to start modifying it Shirley's get pictures of every single thing I just found out through some friends how valuable that is their house burned down in because they have pots and lots of pictures they hit by lightning but because there's lots and lots of pictures the insurance company lost a lot of arguments I really just want you so we can start taking some pictures but yeah we definitely need some more I've done more for the Woodshop area well whenever we take those pictures make sure we get pictures of Brandon because he's a staple there 301 Brandon hit by lightning have a picture of him a lot like behind every single item having a bad day when you moved into your house for 29 days and you get hit by lightning and Burn It Down okay I think that's Oliver is everything we want to talk about Olivia I think we just wanted to kind of go over like a kind of part of the reason I think we need to push for kind of coming to a decision on this we don't have a definite answer from like the landlord for how long we can keep doing the month 2 months and we've kind of determined that we really can't stay in our current location so stuff needs to happen soon I think I just typed in final location but I mean we want to provide the opportunity for members to give us their feedback so we can know hey you know this location looks amazing you know here's what you didn't consider or hey you know I I think there's a partnership in Plano that would work out you know even more fantastically you know you need to look into that but it's we we do have a ticking clock on on this on these decisions they need to be made soon and I kind of wanted to push for a keyboard vote on this when I again it's kind of that's why I had a blank there was for you know how much information are we waiting to come in I know it's probably at least you know a week or two for membership to kind of give us their response give us their feedbacks again check out the relocation query so we can get a get an idea of who exactly has what to say what you're interested in in our current space in our potential new space and so we can we can act on that cuz the lab is mean it's built by you so we want to make sure that we we do everybody is right as we can so that the organization can keep driving so yeah it's and I definitely want to keep everybody aware of that we're going to Frankie if you updated as much as we can like on slack but yeah it's mean every most of the board is available for you to message all the time so I really want to encourage questions comments let us know what you think and what what you would like and where we're going to do our best to act on that and it kind of sounds like the other 801 Alpha location is one that we need to relook at but I think those are the major things that I wanted to touch on maybe kind of just have a soft at the end of two weeks we we have a look at what we've got hey I don't know if it is the board that is available to that sound amiable to you how can I was the one I was unaware I was one of the one people talking to you about 2 weeks now that we're looking at the other 801 Alpha that might be a week before we can do a showing of it and then that would give people a week to make a decision which seems kind of short well I think we should push the three weeks just because I like Brandon has said he wants to give city of Plano some time to respond but that'll also give two weeks for us to look at the other 801 Alpha and at the end of three weeks we can determine if we are on the cusp of having something good and push out a week till the next leadership or we call a special meeting to vote in 3 weeks yeah but I definitely think there's probably going to Warrant to a special meeting just cuz it again it's this is an important and deserves lots of attention very nice Andy so I guess for the board do you feel comfortable that we could vote in 3 weeks on this I think that depends on what things are I say yes okay yeah in nevermind I lost my train of thought Victoria's got a good point we got friend-zoned by Plano some good a lot of members are used to us being Planos Makerspace so I'd like us to stay in Plano if we can get the same love that City of Richardson is giving us we need a little bit more love I feel neglected and real Good Lovin if you were a real real estate developer and you would have known that mayor's election son maybe it would be different spell shut up you got that money lying around got a different voice distance wise from my point of view.. Equal so it's not bad from Murphy getting to Richardson is no longer than getting over to the current space Richardson the pain in the ass for me I can walk I have walked to the current temperature in Walker Richardson so it's more inconvenient for me that said I do not want the news Tomi you can walk to the train station take the train right to our front door guys don't keep me hanging here to the All-American singing Drive yeah it's a good bit farther for me but at the same time it's so much better that I don't even mind that have but I have heard objections from people who live in McKinney and places up north like I do thanks for stopping by Richard 500 I think that people who are further north are going to have a more difficult time that's how I think we're going to get a bit more population density and bit more company density especially with the Richardson right there and that the the potential for more members is is greater but Yahweh greater well that the other thing that it was on the maps but they didn't didn't note that in 2022 the silver line is going to be completed on the DART Rail which goes to it kind of process over at Cityline I believe and goes on up and it goes past like UTD there will be a stop at UTD and it goes on to DFW airport so you'll have that connection right from a technical technology-oriented college campus you know that they can hop on the train there and then hop on the train and come to the Makerspace should they so desire they know that they had talked about you know there was that concerned about college makerspaces I think there's a whole lot that ours can offer that like a college one won't I know there's definitely more opportunity for cross-pollination does like a larger colleges it's like the Woodshop is not necessarily within walking distance of the 3D printers and I like to mix my mediums so that's what's exciting to me about Canada the space that we've got one thing I do want to mention if we were at if we're at the 801 Alpha there is a great Mediterranean place right down the street at the other side of the block and about a block farther than that there's a really awesome ice cream place we're connected to Cafe Max which if you had before it that's tasty the House Cafe that's there yeah I think that was it Doug actually mentioned that a lot of the city council members eat there do you have a I want to call a camera that's your beauty have you been way too silencer German I'm surprised any has not have we can't hear you though but mic issues I don't know whether to be surprised or annoyed that you didn't say anything before Cameron when am I assuming you can hear us that we think that would be awesome if we can totally collaborate sometime after this and 45 even sooner but we'll talk about this good thing we were we were polite okay so that decision board and questions hey we've got a membership UT which I think we blood into I guess the real thing for the membership meeting is fill out the survey we got seven respondents I need more Sasha Banks I did mine can you hear me now yes yes. Sorry about that Cameron hello yes so we're actually closed right now you know with all the covid-19 stuff so our main facilities been closed early why I came back here actually used to be a member a few years back but we're definitely interested in doing all kinds of coming events or whatever I've actually been telling a lot of our members who would like to be using you don't like our laser cutting art are 3D printing that they should definitely come check the lab out it's a lot closer than like the Dallas Makerspace and there's definitely a lot I'm sure there's a lot of UTD members already but you know I'm down to do whatever I don't know if I'm going on a given that we're closed right now which is really good so please feel free to like let them be aware of that yeah I'll do that or don't we could use the money removing turn off a question where does one find the survey to fill out I posted in slack if you don't have slack I am posting it in the comments of the Google Hangout right now it's also in the comments on the twitch stream if anybody is watching twitch stream but kind of short have slack so I'll grab it from there I'm just not always pay attention so does anyone have any questions for the I guess we've officially transition to the membership side can we get a better button on the website for the wiki cuz I literally just tried to click on it and had no idea where it was I know a secretary that knows how to do that no hey what are you talkin about where's the link to our KB on the website okay the point so can I see my hearing me better just sit and listen in on the leadership meeting but I got the lady I didn't get home till five minutes ago but there's the what's the bottom line yes we're definitely moving no not yet routing but we haven't picked a location yet I will send you a link to the twitch stream which you can watch at your leisure for 14 days so you can actually listen to the whole meeting be great thank you no problem who was just telling me that Funk Master Philip okay alright I actually I see some dots blinking, I'm seeing a presentation that's blocking out most of the people but is that what's supposed to be happening oh yeah, it doesn't think stuff okay I so remember supposed to just give their thoughts about the move and what is what day is important to them about it and also I will fill out there that questionnaire I think the best place is to put it in the questionnaire because that's where we'll be using will be correlating all the information out to words okay so what is what is the main thing to be discussed in the discussing the membership meeting read my kind of disgust a lot of the merits of each of the locations so I guess kind of now we're looking for is any concerns about you know moving to Richardson or staying in Plano you know maybe avenues that we haven't considered I love you too but I think largely we're can I get a we've got kind of a soft deadline up about about 3 weeks to can I come to a final decision on this so we can look over what Brandon may have to bring from city of Plano and we can check out we're going to I think we're going to try and check out the two candidates spaces a little bit more on kind of the evaluate the potential of at least one of them okay I have there's one thing that's really important to me I don't know how much this bothers other people but ever since the Woodshop started there is always saw dust in the air at least in that front classroom there has been so I'm wondering if this is a critical thing that's on the list of of you know like I don't know top five things we need that somehow the dirty space can be separated in a way where you know one didn't have two princes go through there to get to a bathroom or someone didn't have to go in that space to use the laser cutter or that just that space is really truly separate in the way where sawdust isn't in other parts of the space in the air yeah that's one of the thing problem yeah that that was one of the things that was kind of in the requirement is that we are able to provide app that I just drop out able to provide more more opportunities for ventilation and that's one of the reasons we are specifically looking for like a workshop area though that ain't that kind of thing can be contained be so there's also access control so that people that have gone through like safety briefings have been shown how to use the equipment are the only ones that are able to actually access the the workshop area I'm just a door I guess I mean it'll be something more than just a door that opens and closes at the very least it'll be a door that auto closes the campy just left open so it can float everywhere yeah doesn't mean there's no hundred percent containment system but with the new spaces there will be wasted kind of mitigate what has been problems one of the biggest problems we have is that the spaces so small right now and there's also no exit for like the Tudors no exit to the Woodshop to the outside which just even something as simple as like being able to open a bay door or back door can help a whole lot with cleaning and kind of keeping the the the dirty space not quite so dirty cuz right now it's almost the equivalent of just using your power saw in a closet it doesn't matter how good your ventilation is in there okay also in regards to laser cutter I'm pretty sure that we're looking at moving that out of the dirty space or one of those reasons of flammable are around it I would say that out of be a requirement I mean no way it should stay in the dirty space a lot of people like me wouldn't be able to use it pretty much ever I don't know if anyone else has the same sensitivity that's in her sinus to sawdust or not but I don't know about the sensitivity of sawdust but I am allergic to catching on fire so this is fun. We all have theoretically I'm allergic to it you break out in a rash real bad when it happens now now I'm in the same boat with you Aaron I have asthma and it got a lot worse once the Woodshop so yeah I'm crappy sinuses so it's like I mean like my own shop at home I'm like it's pulling my equipment out because I have no ventilation in the garage cuz I understand like that dust I bet that just gets everywhere so it's definitely that's one of the reasons we want to move to a new spaces to be able to provide proper ventilation to be able to kind of give people some space to spread out and like you said with the laser cutter it's IC laser cutting is like clean work I'm working with you know plexiglass and stuff it's there's nowhere for me to set it in the wishes but I mean it's like my new compared to the Woodshop definitely that's something that it was in the requirements from the beginning call doron on the door between the wig shop in the rest of the stage right now there's no weatherstripping or any so air just blows between the door and under it and what have you wait we should be able to fix that out of nothing else but I'm sure it'll be more than that you know what would really be cool though probably not practical to you know design and implement this would be a double door it wouldn't have to be that much space but when one door opens there's a big you know flow through filter of air that cleans out any deaths in there and then you have to shut one door before you get open the other door but pressure a negative pressure Mane Trap House will be away so that the desk you know would be sucked out in that little space between two doors before before one of the doors was open so it would so they are the dust would never get but I mean I like I said I just don't think that's probably a better solution is the collected dust up the tool collection and we don't have that right now the projects that I've been kind of on hold since the move is imminent LOL we could improve the space we are moving or not I got a stalker for doing the flooring yeah some of that Sky Bond hold a bit what's the idea for the best flooring Peter Behr cement or whatever for the dirty space not carpet where are the best rip up the carpet and go is there cement it's a happy happy easy to clean yep yep as long as you don't piss off a barite bear Summit I got your money Lan is putting a static Broadway the doorway on that on the clean side and as you come out of the door any dust that's on you'll stick that rug we tried that repair Dallas actually work pretty well except you had to clean the rug but once a week thing that helps you know it makes it better would be no that doesn't require too much rain effort tell me if we're not still using the membership meeting presentation would it be possible I'm not trying to cut off something that's supposed to be on there but it's cutting me off from seeing a lot of the people I can see 2468 8 little windows alright what does anyone else have any thing that they wanted to show Eagle you get your Brady Bunch now I wouldn't seem okay me to we need to sing The Brady Bunch song no no good points is kind of having candidate floor plans and yeah I'm not sure that the best way to go about that not like submit your best floor plan play we could put you some some direction and that to kind of figure out what is going to be the best allocation of space cuz I think that I mean for me personally we need to dedicate a ton of space to laser cutting and Ceramics but other people probably have different ideas so I do think we need to dedicate more but do we have anyone that has an architectural background that can draw rough blueprints no no crickets does a playing The Sims a lot count is there a way to see I'm only seeing 9 windows and I guess I'm not used to this enough to be able to know how to see no that's all you can see at once I'm at you can see a list of everyone who was in the meeting I've got Twelve Oaks right now course it's on a 4K screen but that's the story okay good point about the the candidate for programmer will probably have some additional BT's about laying it out beforehand is the forecast going to happen is all the existing equipment going to need to go somewhere and we should agree to where that is beforehand and yeah that would definitely be some maybe some more voting it's may have already been discussed but if we do end up being connected with a Richardson IQ or whatever that name is there I mean we're going to get financial assistance from them yeah yeah yeah that has been discussed okay well one of the things that I've noticed that I just never did think it was it was something that would happen is that in the first classroom those tables we have we are got them super cheap or donated or something but they're not that easy to fold they're sturdy as heck but you know a classroom could be more usable for different things if we had tables that were nice and sturdy but it could be easily you know I don't know what kind of design would be just over a table that was designed to do this but the place could be folded quickly and they could be just kind of put against the wall so if you needed more open space you would you can have it I don't know exactly what class would require that but right now I mean that was never really a good option if any kind of class could have possibly been scheduled it needed face like that it never would have happened because of the tables we have I mean I guess when I asked the question before about financial assistance is equipment one of the things that we could be helped with or is it just moving or the short answer is they are offering us a grant and what we do with it is up to us and most likely the majority that money is going to go to any necessary remodels that are done to make us get into that space as well as the move and then from there we can decide what we have left and where we can properly allocated but nothing has been decided what can be done or what we are going to do with that grand as of today so that means a particular sum of money correct okay is that like us a secret sum of money that isn't to be known yet you know he he he he brought up in a meeting it's it's $6,000 for the locations that are our top two contenders 2004 the top two contenders yes yeah the the one that we cannot afford we offered we were offered more but we cannot afford it even with the grant so that that has been knocked out I'm pretty sure Linda recording I recommend that you watch that cuz that that'll explain a lot more okay I will definitely do that in someone's going to post that are already did post that I can't post until we're done we're done with the meeting. But as soon as we're done with the meeting is all posted in General on Slack x22r okay hey this is Matt I didn't really have anything other than just a general comment Tommy I work in the north side with in now I mean not lately are ya by the company I work for has the Nortel building now and the high-rise behind it and we've been in Richardson for about three years they courted us to move there from Carrollton and it's been fantastic they've been really in all they have you know kind of some intro corporate Sports League fundraising things they do and they've been really visible which is something I could have really when we were in Carrollton so I have nothing but positive things to say I live 5 minutes away from Plano Makerspace but I also know that it's probably a 10-15 minute drive down Central to get to those areas of Richardson so I'm all in there and I think the the fact that they're doing this and it's consistent with their behavior that I've seen over the past several years yeah they're they're really interested in kind of building a community but when I look when I went to the Richardson IQ heater from a link from our thing or something they had like a bunch of shaded area it was all just to the east of Central Expressway is is that the area that we would be in somewhere or another so he actually went over that as well during his presentation all right well looks like we're getting has been a pretty jam-packed meeting it's time for bedtime thank you very much everyone that showed up I think this was really good meeting we got a lot of good response from you guys this evening 16 response so far in the survey and get some more of that be awesome but no thanks everybody for showing up this is amazing cool I haven't seen in a long time hello David good night everybody call when you shut up at this station let me know I'll go everyone
